Miss Guilty Turns Designer!

Hi beautiful followers, readers and supporters. 2014 has been one the most exciting and exhausting year of my life. Those of you, who have been a part of my journey from the start know of all the major transitions that have happened and today I cant be more proud than to tell you all that yours truly has turned to designing for The Indian Spring!

I believe each one of us have a designer, a fashionista hidden in us. I mean being brought up in the fashion rich Indian household, you get to know of fabrics like brocade, tasser silk, cotton silk at a very early age, right girls? what I really mean is that we all have brainstormed with our boutique wali to get the most desirable outfit at one point of our lives. We drew the outfits the way we wanted and it all felt like an achievement. Well here I am, trying to wear another hat. Though I have to admit that I am still learning with my design team and that there is a long way to go, but here's the first capsule for you all. And yes, we are ready with our promises to be your only online global boutique that will lend you custom fit, varied designs, fabric options and much more. Lend me support by logging onto www.theindianspring.com and shop!

Here's How I decode the design bubble. What were the key design points and briefs.

- Idea is to make the ethnic wear all the more glamorous and chic
- Say yes to collar band or bandh gala for that sharp look
- Use colors that are in and that suit the Indian Skin tone beautifully
- Minimal is the 'IT' thing for Spring Summer
- Have a look that can have multiple accompaniments like dupattas, stoles, scarfs etc
- Ivory color pants to  go well with solid hues
- Summer is hitting up hence, Cotton Silk for fabric and brocade for pants is absolutely chic.

More from the collection that you can shop from The Indian Spring

p.s. This is just the beginning, stay tuned for more madness. :)

5 Fashion Must Haves For a Bridesmaid at Day Wedding!

I loveeeeeeeeeeee the idea of a day wedding! You know what, that one day, when my time comes to walk down the aisle, I will want it to be daytime with pretty flowers and pink + white decor all around me! So anyway, we will see how and what it happens when Miss Guilty's time comes. So here I am with my 5 Fashion essentials for a bridesmaid at a day wedding...

#Chanderi Saree

Remember how gorgeous Sonam Kapoor looked in 'gal mithi mithi bol' song from Ayesha film? Yaad aaya right? Well I totally love love love her look and I think silk saree is very hard to carry, especially for a young woman, so I suggest that you buy yourself a beautiful chanderi saree that drapes like a dream with golden zari border and of course it should have a dash of pink in form of a blouse or a border right?!

#Coral Lipshade

Coral lipsticks have always been a hot trend for Indian skin tone. For a day wedding function, you can avoid ruby red lips or sun-burnt orange shades but instead opt for a beautiful shade of coral. Weather you wear a pink saree or a phulkari dupatta, coral lip-shades are the thing for you! Mac cream sheen range or maybelline coral is what you can invest in.

#Meena Earrings

I am obsessed with faux meenkari work or kundan work on earrings and I honestly think that there is no better accessory for a woman than a pair of statement earrings. You need no neck piece, no bracelet, no strings attached :p literally. You can pick perfect meena earrings and pair it up with silk kurti, cigarette pants or a beautiful lehenga, the choice is absolutely yours.

#Rosy Brown Nail Polish

As a bridesmaid we are usually running late and do not have any time for a perfect manicure, so instead of changing pinks-to-reds for your bride's day, opt for rosy brown polish for your nails. It looks absolutely chic and sexy and with Indian wear or cocktail dresses.  You can buy this polish from Inglot or Mac or OPI.

#Mac Fix Plus

I did an elaborate review on this product long time back n my blog and I still swear by this product till date. I loved the fact that it was some sort of setting spray. I have never been the kinds who actually care how well the makeup sets post I do it. The fact that I have combination type of skin, FIX plus helps transform a powdery, caked up look into a more dewy look. You can read full review here.

Hope you like my 5 staples! If you have anything to share, drop a comment below :)

Silk Wrap c/o The Indian Spring || Earrings c/o The Indian Spring

Elegant earrings, silk wrap is the flavor of the season and I would suggest that you guys can opt for any colored dress, try opting for a bold colored and pair it above with these two accessories only. All you need after this is a pretty bracelet or a simple clutch to complete the look. Don't be shy in trying new kind of hair or simply tying up your locks, it will look super chic. Love is a beautiful feeling and when you get to spend time with the one you adore, make most of it. By making most, I am referring to both love wise and fashion wise ;)

Hope you all have a fantastic valentines week!

2014: New outfit + New Project + The Big News

I am just so super happy to kick start 2014 with so many new projects and new associations and of course my first outfit post for 2014. I have been so happy to run ##Bodypositive campaign on my blog and it inspires me every single day to read how women are falling in love with themselves. I also want to to talk about how I never thought I could pull off a leather skirt look because I was so worried of how my curves would show, but here I am, embracing myself every single way, all thanks to #BP campaign ;)

2014 means alot to me and to my family. I am getting ready to launch my Blogshop version 2.0 and It will be called as The Indian Spring. I met so many beautiful artists and artisans from the interior of the country, courtesy my army background and travelling that Team Guiltybytes sat down to develop a platform that could help these great creators promote their art. On Indian Spring you will find clothes, Indian threads, embroideries, young designers with contemporary clothing and Jewllery, all of my favorite fashion subjects. I don't intend to make a million from The Indian Spring, but I'd rather follow my passion to be a happy person after all. I would love if you guys would lend me as much support as you have given me for Guiltybytes. This blog has been a daily source of inspiration in my life, I have begun to love life, myself, my friends and the whole world so much more all because of this one blog. I can't thank you guys enough for it. Well now I can stop being emotional and I hope you guys like my lace & leather skirt look with my all new Zara heels. Don't worry if you have little curves showing, just smile and be confident.

And yes, Here's the LOGO for The Indian Spring, Do tell me if you guys like it?

In the meanwhile you can follow The Indian Spring on Facebook- Here
